Mindful Teens: Journey to Self-Discovery and Well-Being

Teen circles are a valuable tool in promoting the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of adolescents. They provide a nurturing space for self-expression, foster connections with peers, and equip teens with essential life skills that contribute to their overall development and resilience.
This 4 week program is facilitated by Michelle a Certified Level 1 & 2 Root Cause Therapist, Circle Facilitator and Mum to 3 teenagers. This is a safe, supportive environment where teens can express themselves, share their experiences and learn from each other. The format often includes activities, discussions, and exercises aimed at fostering connection, self-awareness, and resilience.

What are the topics covered in the 4 Week program?
Week 1: Building Connections and Understanding Emotions
Icebreakers and Team Building: Fun activities to get to know each other.
Understanding Emotions: Introduction to different emotions and their impact.
Sharing Circle: Safe space to share feelings and experiences.
Week 2: Self-Awareness and Identity
Exploring Self-Identity: Activities to explore personal strengths, values, and interests.
Mindfulness Practices: Introduction to mindfulness techniques to enhance self-awareness.
Art Therapy Session: Creative expression through drawing or journaling.
Week 3: Coping Strategies and Resilience
Stress Management: Identifying stressors and learning healthy coping mechanisms.
Resilience Building: Discussing resilience and ways to cultivate it.
Role-Playing Scenarios: Practicing positive responses to challenging situations.
Week 4: Goal Setting and Positive Relationships
Setting Personal Goals: Techniques for setting realistic and meaningful goals.
Healthy Relationships: Understanding the importance of positive relationships and how to nurture them.
Reflection and Closure: Reflecting on the journey and sharing personal growth.
